Hello! I'm Christine, the owner of Springfield Reiki.
I grew up outside Boston, MA and moved to the Springfield, MO area in 2004.
During my mid-twenties, I no longer wanted to take the doctor's word that I was going to have to live with chronic pain and be on medication for the rest of my life. This led me on a journey searching for ways in which I could take control of my own healing.
I discovered Reiki, and never looked back. This powerful energy has changed my life physically, mentally, and spiritually. I’ve become happier, healthier, and able to get through the day much more easily.
I’ve had hundreds of hours of high-quality Reiki training where I have mastered the energy healing techniques that I use in my sessions. I am a certified Reiki Master Teacher, Intuitive Energy Healer, and Nutritional Herbalist.
My passion is helping others who have been searching for their own healing with little to no results. If Reiki can help me then I believe it can help anyone.

What Happens During a Reiki Session?
My Healing Hands Will Give Your Nervous System a Reset
During your session at Springfield Reiki, you will remain fully clothed during the whole treatment while lying on a massage table. If you are unable to lie down for long periods of time, we can take breaks. Treatment can also be done while seated in a chair, if needed.
Healing energy will begin to flow as my hands are placed just above your body. You may experience some tingling or warmth and become deeply relaxed as the calming energy flows throughout your body.
How Do I Know If Reiki Has Helped Me?
After your session, you may notice a shift due to your entire system being recharged and balanced. You may notice a feeling of calmness, your mood lifted, less body pain, and feel more grounded.

How Does Reiki Work?
It is well-recognized in scientific and medical communities that the ultimate cause of illness and disease is stress. Dr. Bruce Lipton, a cellular biologist, states that "95% of all illness and disease is caused by stress.”
Stress is normal and happens to everyone, but it becomes a problem when we are in a chronic stress state without any periods of relaxation. This chronic stress affects our health.
When your nervous system can't handle the overload of stress, the sympathetic nervous system goes into a state of "sympathetic on" which is a fight-or-flight response that negatively affects every cell in your body.
Reiki works by activating the parasympathetic nervous system, which has been shown to significantly reduce stress.
Your Session Includes:
- Correcting your body’s polarity. This is the flow of your energy field (aura), which should be flowing north to south and affects every cell in your body.
- Repairing holes and tears in your aura (energy field), which is the key to creating a protective barrier against unwanted negative energy, including spiritual attachments.
- Unblocking and balancing your chakras (energy centers).
- Taking your body out of fight-or-flight mode and resetting your nervous system.
We will discuss any imbalances and you will be given a written summary to take home with you.
How Much Does A Session Cost?
- In-person sessions at the Springfield Reiki office: 30 minutes $40, 60 minutes $70, and 90 minutes $100.
- Distance sessions are 30 minutes $30 and 45 minutes $45.

No payment is due when booking your session. You can pay in person with cash, check, Venmo, cards, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. A payment link will be sent for distance sessions.
How Many Sessions Do I Need?
This is a question that only you can answer. You may want to come in for just one session initially to experience the energy. Multiple sessions are typically needed to remove deep-rooted blockages that may be causing chronic conditions. Many clients prefer monthly sessions as part of their self-care regimen. You will never be pressured to book sessions.
Can Reiki take the place of my doctor or interfere with medications?
No, Reiki is not a replacement for medical care but is a safe complementary treatment. Reiki will not interfere with any medical care or medications and can be used concurrently with any medical interventions.
